Update on the Jeremy Clarkson issues: It isn't looking good

An update has been revealed by the man himself in his weekly column in The Sun tabloid newspaper. It's not good news unfortunately; the BBC has given him a final warning. That means if there is one more slip up or complaint, he will be sacked.

Understandably, Clarkson doesn't fill himself with much hope:
“And even the angel Gabriel would struggle to survive with that hanging over his head. It’s inevitable that one day, someone, somewhere will say that I've offended them, and that will be that.”

No Jezza = No Top Gear
The BBC has also issued a formal statement:
“Jeremy Clarkson has set out the background to this regrettable episode. We have made it absolutely clear to him the standards the BBC expects on air and off. We have left him in no doubt about how seriously we view this.”

If things do go wrong, and the BBC does sack him, I can't even begin to imagine what the public backlash will be like. You can bet I will be part of that backlash too. We must also remember that it's not just him that's suffering with all of this; his family is being dragged in too, which is completely unfair on them.

We are all hoping this future carefulness that will be required from him won't hinder his world-famous humor that we have come to love.
